Filament Hair Salon is located in the heart of Manhattan’s legendary East Village. From our beginnings, we were inspired to create a unique, intimate space where our talented staff and clients come together to collaborate. Filament has earned the loyalty and trust of a diverse clientele through our commitment and passion for elevating Curly and Wavy Hair. The salon is owned and operated by expert stylist and colorist, Alexandra Lugo, who founded it in 2015. Our stylists specialize in a unique dry-cutting technique, which allows us to sculpt hair as it falls naturally. Our method has been developed through experience and continued professional training including: DevaCurl Academy in New York City, Llongueras Institute in Barcelona, Joss Claude & BeLLVeR in Mexico City, and the Aveda institute in New York City.
